To comply with DDA Regulations (Disability Discrimination Act), Cranfield University asked us to automate existing swing doors and renovate a manual revolving door to the front of a busy building.
The revolving door had been poorly maintained and required complete removal and disassembling. It was then fully lubricated and realigned. In addition to the overhaul of the revolving door, 2 sets of double swing doors were automated to meet DDA using Low Energy Swing Operators on Push Pads. This gave the university the solution they needed but also provided discreet automation in order to not compromise the modern appearance of the building.
